Some 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ students hit the road for home for spring break, but many others choose a different route. Here are some of them.

Australia — Amanda Moore, center, takes time off from her internship in Sydney, Australia, to scuba dive with fellow students Nick Steichmann and Paige Fornek.

Golfers — Coach Paul Del Vecchio's 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ men's golf team opened the spring season in Texas. They'll play again March 30-31 in Galesburg.

chinese presentation — First-year student Madison Taylor (center) went to the Quad City Chinese Association's Chinese New Year Celebration and demonstrated the customs of the Tang dynasty.

365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ Symphonic Band — The 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ Symphonic Band toured southern California over spring break and performed six concerts between San Diego and Los Angeles.

guatemala — Seniors Stacie Gill and Mykea Johnson enjoying Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. They were participating in a Learning Community that includes coursework during the winter and spring terms.

tennis — Coach Jon Miedema and the 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ men's and women's tennis teams got started on the season in Florida. Their home season starts this weekend.

canyon at night — It wasn't all sunshine! Geology majors camped at the Grand Canyon in the snow.

canyon in day — Dr. Mike Wolf and Dr. Kelsey Arkle led geology majors to the Grand Canyon on an 8-day backpacking trip as the culmination of a course. They went to the bottom (1-mile elevation change) and back, braved a blizzard and gave research presentations en route.

norway — Students participating in the Norway Learning Community prepared in class over winter term for their spring break trip component. Here is business major Anna Jontz with the northern lights.

norway — Junior Dana Baele was tasked with carrying the Augie A in Norway!

appalachia — Students get together for a photo during their spring break service trip to Appalachia. Students have worked at the Henderson Settlement in Frakes, Ky., in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, every year since 2009.

Penguin Project's production of "Beauty and the Beast Jr." — The cast of the Penguin Project's "Beauty and the Beast Jr." celebrates at the Brunner Theatre Center after a show. The show features young artists with disabilities shadowed by peer mentors, many of them 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ students. All the performances sold out.

365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ Western Equestrian Team — The 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ Western Equestrian Team competed in its last show of the season over break and had its best-ever showing, finishing third in the region for year-end points.
