'Messiah' soloist has family ties to college
For the first time in nearly 100 years, Handel's "Messiah" at 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ wasn't performed this past Christmas season. Instead it is being done this Sunday – Palm Sunday – at 3 p.m. in Centennial Hall.
The soprano soloist is Kathryn Mueller, whose husband's grandfather graduated from 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ in 1920 and later from 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ Seminary.
"I've wanted to sing 'Messiah' at Augie for years, and I'm so excited that it finally worked out for this year’s performance," she said.
