Friends and family gathered at 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@’s Hamann Concert Hall in Bergendoff Hall for the swearing in by Vice President and Dean of Student Life Dr. Wes Brooks. Dr. Brooks commended Weeks for his committed and continued service to 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@’s students, faculty and staff.
“Officer Weeks has honorably served 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ for nearly four years, and we’re thrilled to have him continue his passion for public service at 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@,” said Dr. Brooks. “Safety at 365体育投注_365体育备用网址@ is a top priority, and we’re thankful to all members of Police and Public Safety for contributing to a safe learning and working environment for all members.”
Officer Weeks will begin attending the part-time police academy in Springfield in April.
Chief of Police Tom Phillis said he is proud to promote Officer Weeks.
“He has a dedication and passion for protecting our community that has motivated him to want to increase his role within our department and with the college,” said Chief Phillis.
